Working with me

It should be a breeze…

Picking a wedding photographer is a big decision! There are lots of ins and lots of outs and it’s not all about photography. Sounds strange, right? Photography skill and quality is important, but there’s so much more to it. How well you get on with your photographer is key. You need to like them! They will be a huge part of your day, present in every moment, even if they aren’t always seen in those moments. You can’t have a wedding photographer annoying your guests, or aggravating the future in-laws. It’s essential you get on well with, can share ideas with and feel comfortable in the company of your wedding photographer. The resulting images will be so much better as a result.

Shooting style

The way I work a wedding…

I shoot a modern, mixed style of wedding photography. I’m present when I need to be, direct people when I need to direct them, but I prefer to melt into the background, shooting your wedding unseen. I’ll cruise through your drinks reception, or wedding breakfast without being spotted, capturing real moments between your family and guests. Lovely, informal moments happen everywhere at weddings! Although you might not be keen, I recommend shooting a short list of posed family groups. Trust me when I say you’ll be pleased to have them on your tenth wedding anniversary! I shoot your groups in the least painful way I can. I try to make it fun. When it comes to shooting brides and grooms, I like to have time to get creative! I love using a beautiful wedding venue and all the interesting locations, textures and foliage. If you’ve booked a spectacular venue, you’ve just got to make the most of it!

What to invest

Prices & options…

My most popular wedding photography package costs £1695.  This includes all day photography from the bridal preparations, to the first dance. Smaller coverage options are available starting at £1295. A fully edited set of high resolution digital files is provided for all coverage options. I supply a mix of colour and black and white images. I never artificially retouch images, but each will have been fully colour/exposure/contrast edited and styled. You’ll look your best, absolutely, but you’ll also look yourself.

Bespoke designed image book wedding albums are also available for £795-895.

My prices come with no hidden extras, ever!  They include my own costs and travel (except for international weddings).

Mike photographed our wedding and was absolutely brilliant!  He got all the shots we asked for but managed to make them look so natural.  He disappeared into the background and got some great shots of our wedding guests who didn’t even realise he was there!  Mike is a fantastic wedding photographer and we couldn’t recommend him enough!
